As many of you know - for nearly ten years, Carrie shared her passion for Oregon wine through her wine club, Cellar 503. Believing that, "Right here in Oregon, in this little magical corner of the world, we have an extraordinary range of great wines." She sent thousands of bottles of small producer Oregon wine to club members all over the country.

Along the way, she discovered the challenges that small winemakers face in creating their wines — especially in those first few years. So she took her passion for Oregon wine, her love of small producers and created AVP Wine Collective.​ In true Carrie fashion, she dove head first into alleviating these pressure points, focusing particularly on a segment of winemakers that were under supported and therefore under represented.

July is the one year anniversary of my stewardship of the Cellar 503 legacy and I can think of no better way to celebrate than with this months theme. The pinnacle of "paying it forward" is realizing your dreams while facilitating others in fulfilling theirs. This months wines showcase not only Carries first wine but those of just two of the many rock stars that hang out at AVP.
